Siobhán is currently carrying out focus groups with women on the draft Anti-Poverty Strategy for Northern Ireland.  This research work will be used to formulate the Consortium’s response to this consultation and to help raise awareness about what is in the draft Strategy.

Siobhán is working with a number of other organisations in the Community and Voluntary sector to inform people about what is contained in the draft Anti-Poverty Strategy so they are better placed to share their views on its contents and what they would like to see included in it.

Over the coming weeks Siobhán will be working with these organisations to share a simple briefing paper on the content of the draft Strategy, a video highlighting the main concerns about the draft and a feedback form so that people can give their views on the draft Strategy after reading the briefing and hearing the video.  Siobhán is also working on producing some of the quotes already shared by women on the draft for social media as a way of encouraging participation in the consultation.  Look out for social media content on this over the coming weeks.
