Siobhán Harding, policy worker from Women’s Support Network, has carried out a range of activity with regards to gathering women’s views and experiences, lobbying on issues relevant to women and carrying out policy work over the last couple of months as follows:
- Speaking at the launch of the Women’s Spaces Pillars for Peace Toolkit launches in person and online about the importance of creating spaces for women
- Attending UNSCR 1325 APG including discussion on policy pressures within the women’s sector
- Focus Group with Greenway Women’s Centre on Pathways to Work Green Paper
- Attending Mental Health Inequalities Conference in Ulster University, Coleraine
- Attending NI Anti-Poverty Network AGM and providing input on women’s views on the Pathways to Work consultation
- Exhibiting on behalf of the Women’s Regional Consortium at the launch of Carer’s Week in Stormont highlighting joint research with Carer’s NI and the Women’s Regional Consortium on Women, Unpaid Care and Employment
- Giving evidence on School Uniform Costs at NI Assembly Education Committee hearing
- Speaking at Cliff Edge Coalition Online Event about Pathways to Work consultation
- Attending Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC NI) protest on cuts to Universal Credit health payments in Pathways to Work Green Paper
