NIRWN hosted NI Office officials in NIRWN on Tuesday 17th May.  Issues raised on behalf of membership were:

  • Impact of no functioning government
  • The lack of female representation at high level civic society engagements; women are 51% of our population but their voices are not being sought or heard.
  • Clarity needed around UK Shared Prosperity Fund particularly in relation to Rural Development and People & Skills
  • The need to invest in women and peacebuilding as co guarantors of the Good Friday Agreement
  • The impact on community cohesion of Ireland/NI Protocol, particularly as longstanding uncertainty remains.
  • The need to provide regular timely, information to community organisations on progress.
